Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles, the strong ability to close sales, and a dedication to providing outstanding customer service. As aSales Professional, you will play a crucial role in driving our dealership's success by building relationships with customers and helping them find the perfect vehicle to match their needs and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. CustomerEngagement: Greet and engage with customers to understand their vehicle preferences and needs. Provide tailored recommendations and guide them through the purchasing process with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  2. ProductKnowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our product line, including features, benefits, and specifications of each vehicle. Stay updated on new models and industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
  3. SalesProcess Management: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the sales process from initial contact to closing. Manage customer interactions, negotiate terms, and ensure satisfaction throughout the buying journey.
  4. RelationshipBuilding: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business. Follow up with clients post-purchase to ensure ongoing satisfaction and address any concerns.
  5. SalesTargets: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the dealership. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies to achieve individual and team goals.
  6. AdministrativeDuties: Accurately complete all sales-related paperwork, including sales contracts, financing applications, and vehicle registrations. Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
  7. Training:Participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions to enhanceskills and stay informed about dealership initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Automotive Service Writer Advisor

Location: Steve Faulkner Automotive, Mt. Carmel, Illinois

Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and motivated Service Advisor / Service Writer with good communication skills and ability to increase shop productivity and sales. This is a full-time position that encompasses writing, selling service, and assisting in dispatching and tracking of technicians. Excellent customer service skills, automotive knowledge, and strong computer literacy required. Some years of experience in an independent auto repair environment is recommended. Compensation based on experience and ability (Base + Commission).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested.
  2. Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer rapport and records.
  3. Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
  4. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
  5. Calculates customer's payment, including deductibles.
  6. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.
  7. Obtains approval signatures and enters RO into the service database system.
  8. Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns, and arranging towing and temporary transportation.
  9. Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
  10. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
  11. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2-plus years of experience in a service advisor role strongly preferred
  • Experience or certification with specific manufacturer is a bonus
  • Computer and point-of-sale proficiency
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
